Landscape

Chill out on Omani beaches

The landscape in Muscat is a fascinating mix of mountains, desert and oceans – brown mountains, that millions of years ago were part of the Earth’s sea-bed. That is why , geologists keeps finding fossils of sea creatures and plants on mountain trails. Silvery beaches, clean and uncrowded and vast expanse of rolling ocean in varying shades of aquamarine.
At anytime of the day (or night, particularly just after sundown) and anytime of the year a walk along the beach can be a beautiful experience, whether you’re all by yourself or along with someone else / others. If you’re keen about photography you can take some great shots. The lighting out here is completely different to any other place. Artists will tell you the same thing. That’s why they like to keep coming back over and over again to recapture the colours of Oman’s landscape on their canvases.

  1. Hello David,
Wonderful to have a glimpse of you and inside your mind after a long, really long time.
The photos and your commentary are excellent. I'll try to be in touch though I have a rather limited access to the internet.
Mom is here now and I am keeping very busy.
I am on Facebook, so if you are there find me.
    Beswt wishes
